I break up the Oulook PST into annual archives (which are still accessible through the Outlook interface), so size isn't a problem, and I have to say that in - what is it, 10+ years?, of using Outlook, I haven't lost a PST yet. And I get access to mail on the net from InMotion hosting, so that's not a problem. The thing about filtering: I don't think it works. I'll accept that's a subjective thing to say, and that I'm hard-pressed for a better answer, but others have voted with their feet. One way of characterizing the problem is to say that threads and people are subject to diversion, so anyone seeking to disrupt just has to reach into the bag of 'clever half truths' and other tricks of the trade to do that. In the military it would be called PsyOps, in civilian life we don't even consider the possibility, but my view is that's what happened, here and on a larger scale.
