That's a good question. The best solution is self-filtering posters, but all it takes is one or two who aren't to set off the Gresham's Law variant where bad posts drive out good posts. The list could be moderated, but no moderation is a reasonable, and much less time-consuming, way to operate a list. And, of course, one person's "stupid" posts are another's "brilliant" ones, so it's hard to moderate effectively while still allowing a full range of opinions. It would help if people applied the same standards to their OT posts as they do their technical posts, but I'm not optimistic at this point. -Jerry Wolper [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[EMAIL PROTECTED] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
