        I think that they must teach that the first day of law school. I have  
been involved in several such cases in my days as a building  
inspector. In fact, in one instance I noted that the heating system  
was severely rusted in the firebox and should be replaced immediately.  
The next winter the furnace failed, and the owner sued me because I  
didn't catch that in my report. Now here you have a document that was  
given to lawyers, real estate agents, and principal parties on both  
sides of the transaction, where it clearly states in no uncertain  
terms that the furnace should be replaced, yet they were permitted to  
sue me for the exact opposite reason. Of course, the plaintiff was a  
lawyer himself, so he wouldn't be forced to spend thousands in a  
baseless action, but I would.

        This whole thing smells of personal vendetta. I wonder what the  
potential for income would be for computer articles that are a decade- 
plus old; my guess would be zero. I think that I'll steer clear of  
this whole train wreck.
