I have mixed feelings about LP. I've moved about a half dozen domains maybe a year or so ago, and have had no trouble with the basic static hosting. I have all of the domains set up on one static IP with some sort of internal routing (their front-end is a little weird, but I imagine it's just doing something to Apache.) It works nicely. However, going past that.... they've got a bunch of apps (Joomla, for example) available via this installer called "Fantastico". It's a piece of garbage, and their support for it is worse. Their email support is sketchy. I've got about 50 accounts set up on the various domains, and the mechanism to do so varies from one domain to another. For example, the login for one domain is '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' while another domain's login is 'myname+domain.com'. Why the difference? They can't explain it past "well, it depends sometimes." Yeah, right. They're morons. I've also found that connections (email and FTP) are troublesome at times. Too many folks trying to connect at the same time. A couple of my domains timeout regularly when trying to grab mail. Well, being used to my own mail server, I get spoiled. So, I'm not a raving fan of LP like Malcolm, but so far, I'm sticking with them. I _am_ looking at another host for my Drupal work, though, because I have NO confidence in LP being able to support something that complex.
