I have always been platform-agnostic, and I've always had a Mac. When
I was getting $0 revenue from it in the late '90's, I just had an old
one in the corner. When I started web development I used the old
"need to test on it" excuse to persuade the CFO that I needed a new
one. So I guess I've had this one for 5-6 years.

I never spent enough time really getting to know OS-10. I do eMail
and Web surfing on it, mostly for security. I do a lot of personal
stuff on it. Because of inertia, I still do most of my development on
Windows, but I am trying to change that. Mostly, that is dictated by
having dual monitors on the Win box. Also, I am currently a bit
behind on my current application. (I can hear my clients tapping
their feet behind me.) So I just keep going with the tools I have.

I, too, am trying to move most everything in my work life to open
source. My crippled server was a W2K server (because I started web
work with WebConnect). Now that most of my work is open source, that
box is going the Linux way, too (as soon as I can figure out why I
can't hook up the 2 new 500Gb disks to it). I haven't decided which
Linux flavor to go with.

Ken
