I had asked ProLinux their thoughts on a Linux flavor to go with for a
Server. I was leaning toward Novell Suse Enterprise Server, but one person
was pretty insistent I go with Ubuntu. I ended up going with Suse for the
pcAnywhere cross-platform remote desktop management with all the pcAnywhere
goodies I enjoy so much in Windows Land. Not the same in cross-platform
v-12.1 <g>. I am not planning to renew the annual subscription for Suse. I
will be cutting that to Ubuntu in the next month or so. Free, free, free...
Yet, if I want to get technical support it is available for about the same I
paid for Suse tech support (plus the annual subscription for Novell's
proprietary apps they bundle with Suse). I am very pleased with Ubuntu
7.10.
