I have spoken with Bill S., a year or so ago. My view is that there are some things that can be collaborated on from afar, such as hosting, some contracting, and I think time-shared TM service, but others that depend upon physical proximity, such as partnering up for an enterprise, which is too complex to do over the phone. Quality video-conferencing will change that, but that's a bit into the future.
