I am sad to see that the definition of 'worship' is so variable. I had assumed you were talking about worship in the deity-specific context. Given our common and open Christian backgrounds that was a fair assumption. But if you are going to downgrade your definition of worship to be so broad (not brad!) then yes you are probably right, but at the same time your complaint isn't particularly important. I consider anyone who gives true worship to anyone other than God to be very wrong bordering on evil. But your definition includes rabid supporters of sporting teams so I wil decline your invitation to care all that much. Find me a genuine example of God-like worship of Obama then I wil agree with you but in the meantime, wind back the rhetoric and wind up the perspective.

Actually, we have a simple disagreement of terms here it seems. It's not as bad as I thought. On the one hand. On the other hand you seem more interested in proving me insane than disproving anything I am specifically saying to explain my view. > You define it in > such > broad terms as to have no meaning - especially in this context. No I define it as it is, based on how God created us. Unless you are such a bigot you think only Christians can worship? This would defy a lot of scripture and suggests a kind of legalism that may be clouding your view of things. > We are > not > talking about mere enfatuation 'infatuation' > or brad support etc, 'brand support' > we are talking > about the > kind of worship that places a man in the place of God. THAT is not > happening We agree on this! But Julio doesn't agree with us. I doubt you'd see him in a place of worship as we understand it anytime soon. He has found his messiah, and that was his place of worship. > and if you think it is then may I suggest that the comments about you > needing 'help' are no longer jocular but genuine. I think you should stop trying to be so concerned about my mental health and a.) reconsider your definition of worship--you seem to forget why Satan was expelled from heaven, and the fact that he owns the kingdoms of this world and *demands* worship from his followers (witting and otherwise, and poor Julio was definitely in the "otherwise" category); b.) take some time to consider the spiritual implications of that town hall meeting, and everything else that is going on, for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVi4rUzf-0Q http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51kAw4OTlA0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7PDehlPWsdQ You don't appear to appreciate even the political consequences of such idolatry, forget the spiritual dangers. - Bob [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
