I was going the fedora route later. Is Ubuntu better ? Allen -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Ricardo Aráoz
Might be so a couple of years ago. Nowadays you download an Ubuntu distro, burn it to a cd and the installation is fool proof. Even Debian's installation is not that hard. Now even if you start asking "what is an ISO?" or how to burn a cd, then you can order one from Ubuntu for free. Asking in linux about "su" would be like asking in DOS about dir, or copy. The answer is read the manual (or any of the linux introductory books) and then you'll come back asking sensible questions. Linux distros still have some hard edges now and then, but they are almost unnoticeable to a novice with some sense. _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech Searchable Archive: http://leafe.com/archives/search/profox This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/profox/[email protected] ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
