Hi Ed,

There are several issues. It isn't just bottom or top posting and it 
isn't just context but also the "tons of crap" as you put it, that can 
be present with either top or bottom posting.

The worst case is tons of crap and loss of context. That sometimes happens.

If the message is trimmed it should at least preserve the context. If 
the message is automatically trimmed it may or may not, depending on how 
far down the context is.
