Thanks Dan,

I hadn't seen those links before, but they are surprisingly close to some of 
the experiments I have tried with audio in the animations. It's strange but so 
far there is something I am missing in how the sound design and the animation 
work together. I believe that the audio should clarify the concepts, but maybe 
because the ideas are spatial, I find the audio more distracting than helpful. 
I am wondering whether more subtle sounds may be more effective. Swishes and 
scrapes versus boings and thumps may give a more integrated experience of 
visual and audio. I'll be banging some more tests out in the next week and look 
forward to your feedback.
