Oh yes, thanks Slau. I was just wondering, exactly how many of these higher
end plugins being developed sit into ProTools just like the stock digi
plugins would. You know, it would be a crewel burn to shell out a wod of
cash on a set of plugins which may or may not work on a given system.
Sounds like most conform to the standard display in the plugin window of
ProTools though from what your saying, which is nice!
Cheers,
Brian.

Hi Brian,
Well, I think it would be safe to assume that the plug-ins are being
accessed through Pro Tools which would make them almost totally
accessible. If they've managed to make it somehow proprietary, hmm… I'd be
really surprised. I think it's going to be the former. In other words,
here's a control surface/interface and here are some plug-ins that go
along with it, not unlike the Universal Audio cards.

Agreed, presumably if your comfortable with the amount of i/o it allows,
its not going to be a solution for tracking bands really on its own. The
only thing is, would you be guaranteed the plugs would play nice with
Voice Over, because looking at it, that seems to be a big selling point
for the package. I myself would quite enjoy having some SSL plugs
sometime.

Hey Sean,
Looks like a great solution for a personal studio. Let us know how it
works out.

Hi Guys,
I haven't contributed as of yet, but I feel it's timely now.
I am awaiting the arrival of a Nucleus -Solid State Logic 16-Channel
DAW Console/Controller
This should prove to be an excellent choice for a control surface for
Pro Tools 9 and accessibility.

Subject: control surfaces
Hello
So from what I gather people on this list either have a 003 or a c24 or
both? If anyone else has a surface they are using can you please write
about it a little. I am trying to decide on one but I'm not sure what
to get. I am still up in the air over weather or not to get an analog
console. I think having saved state of all parameters is winning me
over to not having a real analog desk but I still have yet to try
working with a surface. After working with pro tools for a few weeks I
have been able to make okay mixes just from the qwerty board but it
takes quite a bit of time. How easy is it to pop back and forth between
plugins on different tracks and not get lost remember which track and
plugin your tweaking? Can you easily hit a series of key strokes to
control a plugin that was already the active one? I want to find ways
to minimize Alex speaking to me. I find it really disrupting hearing
speech while trying to listen to audio.
Thanks for your help.
