Hi Ron, Thank you for the question. I’ve never used that particular amp before, I’ll try and look up the user manual and see what it’s specifics are. But generally, you want to use your main interface as your playback engine, and use other devices that you need input/output from, such as your amp, as either aux IO devices in Pro Tools, or by creating an aggregate device, as pro tools DOES NOT allow you to set separate inputs and outputs as your playback engine. It’s a little odd to me that the amp is muting itself when you plug it into USB, but my guess is that it’s routing it’s output to the USB interface. As I said earlier I’ll try to look into it later and check. But for now, I’d try either making an aux IO with your amp’s input and setting your playback engine to your interface/studio monitors, or, creating an aggregate device with your amp and interface and setting that as your playback engine. Let me know if any of this doesn’t make sense.
