mod_perl, incidentally, has some of the best documentation and stuff
out there.
awful job publicizing it, but almost everything is incredibly well
documented in detail. then there are tons of case studies, tips and
tricks, etc etc etc
also, the core community of developers and people on their mailing
list is roughly the same size as here with pylons.
