I guess I'm not the usual case. I have no planned track. I'm no technical nerd. I just want to print out a map of a certain region to use it for hiking. Without knowing where I exactly will walk. I'll decide that when I'm there and see where it "looks nice". And I want to use as much of the piece of paper as possible. If you think that's a rather unusual use case for qmapshack and not many people will profit from such a feature, just ignore it. I know I can also get the desired behavior by using external means.
