I think the only thing owner does is receive mail sent to listname-owner gets delivered to them. I don't think ezmln does anything special for the owner, and I am pretty sure QmailQdmin does not.

I use QmailAdmin.
It might be wise for QmailAdmin to subscribe the owner to the list, and make them a moderator if the list is moderated. We'll see, mailing list support looks like the most complex part of QmailAdmin. It will be the last part I work on.
