Ok, so that was a bad guess. :( Looks like authentication's fine.
On to scanning. simscan/clamav is the likely culprit at this point. Unfortunately, the first thing you'll want to do in this case is upgrade clamav. (what version are you running btw?)

If you've any possibility of upgrading the whole thing, that would be a wise thing to do. You'll likely spend more time troubleshooting the existing problem than it'd take to rebuild a fresh new toaster. And the reality is that you might not even be able to fix it w/out upgrading clamav.
