Is it possible to post it to the IPT EdNA forum? I would also be interested in a VisioModeller guide.

Happy to be guided here. I'll confess I never quite got on top of using Visio to create a CS diagram directly from elementary sentences. If anyone has a short "how to" I would love to try it again. Do the students manually create every object and role on the diagram and join the roles and put the role descriptions in the boxes...? If so, then this is why I like the 'decrepit' VisioModeler - it is the best software around for creating a CS diagram directly from fact sentences AND mapping the CS straight to a data dictionary. All of its functionality has been ported to Visio, but somehow only the Enterprise Architect version. They've left us educators out in the cold with the now unsupported VisioModeler. If DIA requires the creation of the diagrams by hand, then I may as well use the diagramming functions in MS Word 2007. I have downloaded DIA and will have a closer look at it. Thanks for all the tips. It is very simple to use (students are producing real work quickly) , and it actually works as a full function program for free. I haven't had as much luck using it for NS diagrams. Has anyone used DIA for NS diagrams (algorthim work). Is there a template that works that people know of? As an aside, for NS drawing, I have found that NSD Editor (NSD.EXE) is a BRILLIANT start, but the version I have (at least) will not do CASE statements for example, so its use is limited. Anyone know how to work around this? Jonathan Klupp Faith Lutheran College, Redlands --- You are currently subscribed to qsiteict as: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>.
