yes, that will be a nice project to read the articles written by Eskil
in october about the generator and look at the pyside binding
generators. It will certainly trigger interesting discussions.
Being pragmatic:
About a windows xp/vista/7 release, most of the people are just
interested in the binaries:
qtjambi-4.6.0.jar and qtjambi-win32-msvc2008-4.6.0.jar
Should we just proceed and upload a zip containing what we have at
sourceforge ?
We can still offer better&better packages later on.
or do you feel that too many things are still missing and can't be
released as is ?

No, I didn't know about this! Very interesting.
Bruno, maybe you can have a look and see what effort we had to put
into QtJambi to bring in the work of PySide?
If there are people maintaining the PySide version of the generator,
and we are able to use it more or less directly,
we would certainly have solved one of the biggest obstacles in this
project!

I can help contribute to a Mac release. My particular interest is in
making the Generator work better, so it can be run independently. Though
it sounds like Francis may have already started working on that, which
is great.

Hi!
This is slightly OT here, but have any of you checked out what is happening
with PySide? They have a generator that is as far as I understand it based on
the one in Qt Jambi, but they also claim it to be much more generic and
independent of the actual language. If parts of the generator in Qt Jambi could
be replaced by the stuff from PySide this would reduce the effort required,
wouldn't it?
Regards,
Gregor
