I didn't say there was a promise with Embryonic Stem Cells I said adult stem cells had less promise.
And you're right why divert Federal money into research that has fewer lines to work with which means is more limited?
Is there any way to talk about Stem cells without the Kerry BS.
I'm not voting for Kerry!

You do understand that there is "NO PROMISE" other than the empty one made by Kerry regarding embryonic stem cells. There is "hope", and we can all use hope. But it is unethical to promote false hopes by claiming that a cure is within our grasp and that somehow we are being denied a cure by a political hack. Like I tried to clarify, if you have X amount of dollars to fund research, and adult stem cell research is showing better results with fewer problems (at this time). Why divert the "Federal" grant money, dividing X into percentages, instead of forging ahead untill somebody in the world finds a real promise for embryonic stem cells? The answer may be the adult stem cells, (we don't know how far we can go with it yet) and diverting a percentage of the X might delay a big break through using adult stem cells. I wonder how much "private" money is really being used on embryonic stem cell research? Wouldn't Jerry Lewis's foundation be funding it? Isn't "privately" funded research usualy better?
