To: [email protected] Date: Thursday, March 4, 2010, 7:27 AM Standing therapy and simulated standing therapy is a great way to place pressure on the heel, knee and hips. Daily pressure like this goes a long way to prevent and reduce the effects of bone density loss. Granted, I realize that it is not easy for most, but for those under the direction of a physical therapist, its a great way to tone the bones for pivot transfers. I do not recall what my number was, but mine was low too. I have to take a pill once a week and was told to eat Tums daily. My testosterone was very low too. Greg C5 28y My bone density is -4.3; so I have osteoporosis. Does anyone else have numbers this low? I am a c5-c6 21 yrs. post; a mere 44 year old male with what.... not enough female hormones (ha-ha). Thanks- Tim What your T-score means: A T-score between +1 and -1 is normal bone density. Examples are 0.8, 0.2 and -0.5. A T-score between -1 and -2.5 indicates low bone density or osteopenia. Examples are T-scores of -1.2, -1.6 and -2.1. A T-score of -2.5 or lower is a diagnosis of osteoporosis. Examples are T-scores of -2.8, -3.3 and -3.9. WhoopieKat.com
