A word of warning about Fosomax... I was prescribed it (about 2 years ago) after I broke my leg just falling to the floor. Along with that, they prescribed Prilosec to counter the stomach acid Fosomax generates. THAT IS A BIG HINT!!
I took both for three weeks until i finally made the connection between the severe AD I suffered the day after my weekly dose, but by then the damage was done. Fosomax' stomach acid had already eaten through my esophagus. Since then I never know what food(s) will ignite the pain from acid reflux. I'm always careful to avoid fatty foods (hamburgers are totally off the menu), but all but mashed potatoes are a crap shoot. No fun.
