A word of warning about Fosomax...

I was prescribed it (about 2 years ago) after I broke my leg just falling to 
the floor.  Along with that, they prescribed Prilosec to counter the stomach 
acid Fosomax generates.  THAT IS A BIG HINT!!

I took both for three weeks until i finally made the connection between the 
severe AD I suffered the day after my weekly dose, but by then the damage was 
done.  Fosomax' stomach acid had already eaten through my esophagus.

Since then I never know what food(s) will ignite the pain from acid reflux.  
I'm always careful to avoid fatty foods (hamburgers are totally off the menu), 
but all but mashed potatoes are a crap shoot.  No fun.
