Derrick,
There are a few things I can direct you to ask the sales representative:
the C3 50 model has been in production for a number of years and is quite
stable. Generally Permobil manufacturers what I believe to be the best chair
on the market. Recently though, they have shipped the manufacturer of the
parts to China specifically, the motors. I would demand Swedish motors be
placed on your new wheelchair.
I had a C 500 RS unit for 14 months and had multiple problems with it. The
manufacturer stood by its warranty and I am now in a new C 500 ESP model. To
date, the only difficulty I have had was with the rear wheels coming off
their hubs. Supposedly, they have shipped me new rear tires on hubs that are
stiffer than the original defective ones. I would point out to the salesman
that you are aware of this problem and demand that the rear wheels on your
chair include the new "stiffer" rear wheel assemblies.
Getting parts and warranty items (two years on all chair parts) is not
difficult, and in fact I would rate the warrantee service excellent.
The battery charger is virtually silent, and charges half the time from the
old models. (I have owned five Permobil's to date).
The seating unit and tilt in space is fine. You are getting the seat riser,
If you are under 250 pounds you can get the option to raise your seat up 8
inches. The chair automatically restricts the motion of the chair to a
slower mode. I like this option very much, as it allows me to come to
"barstool" height and is great for reaching things.
Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "push handles" to bring yourself back
up. If I am reclined, the controller has an option that bends it parallel to
the armrest. This allows me to reach the controls even in a reclined
position.
I am very hard on my chairs. I am always out and about, and I am and avid
fishermen, fishing from a pier with railroad tracks.
I'd recommend that you get to see 350 given you take care of the concerns
listed above. Good luck
Don't let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.

Billy,
My vendor is pushing the c-350 corpus &/or PS.
What problems have you had with your Permobil?
Has your tires been okay now?
Is it hard to get parts, warranty or other repairs?
Is the battery charger loud?
Any problems with seating or tilt?
Any problems with metal shavings or bolts coming loose?
I have had Invacare power chairs since becoming a quad 14 years ago.
I am looking for a wheelchair that has push handles(these help me pull my
self back if I fall over) and tilt/elevated seat.
Any advice on what to ask vendor/salesman?
Thanks
