I realise it won't be a weekend job but want to ensure the car is running as quickly as I can. It isn't mine, it's the daughters car so the longer it is off the road the longer she will be driving one of my cars and that isn't good for my heart.
As for fabrication of exhausts and hoses etc that's not an issue really, I have done a number of engine transplants in the past BUT all of them are old school V8's into various vehicles with adaptors to neumerous gearboxes, wiring a fueling is billy basic as there were no ecu's to worry about but of course the exhausts have all had to be made specific to miss props, exles, chassis' etc. Apart from routine maintenance (and one rebuild) I have had very little dealings with front engine front wheel drive vehicles, infact this is only the second one in the family all the rest of our cars are either front engine rear wheel drive or rear engine rear wheel drive or 4x4's so any information is a bonus and a help. The addege of KISS applies to this change and I would like to lump the whole engine/gearbox in as a unit and alter as little as possible, if it becomes too much of a chore then I will scrap the idea and fit the 1800 into the back of another project I have and just rebuild the 1600 as is and forget the upgrade. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Quantum Owners Group" group.
