Cheers Jim, Yes I am using the original tank. I don't have an LP pump at the
moment so will have to source one. I will have a look at the scrapyard tomorrow
morning and see what suitable donor I can find for the pump. If I put a low
pressure pump in will I be able to leave the HP pump mounted on the bulkhead?

Mark.

Hi Mark,
A empty HP pump won't lift fuel any height at all, a few inchs if you are
lucky.
Once it's primed it will lift higher but if that fuel drains out or you run
out
of petrol you will have to prime it again.

So it needs to be below the level of the fuel in a near full tank.

Have you got a low pressure pump at the moment ?

Have you still got the original carb petrol tank ?

Jim
