Demon tweaks sell external swirl pots. They were around £100 iirc. Money well spent compared to messing with a tank IMHO.

If you try running the high pressure pump directly from the fuel tank you will suffer fuel starvation on corners and roundabouts when the fuel level gets below half a tank or so. You either need to change the tank for an injection one with an internal swirl pot or fit an external swirl pot with a low pressure feed pump and a high pressure fuel pump. If you feed the fuel return from the engine back into the swirl pot then it won't matter that the high pressure pump is a lot higher flow than the low pressure pump. There is a school of thought though that it's better to feed the engine return into the fuel tank to keep the fuel cooler as you aren't recycling the excess fuel between the engine and swirl pot. I have the stock manifold on there at the moment. I bought the downpipe with lambda but minus cat from a scrappy the other day. today I got the bits to make the rest of the exhaust. How much do you want for the pipe you have? The exhaust that is about to go on is going to be cobbled together from an escort downpipe, puma middle section and the back boxes from a puma sport... the polite word is hybrid!! I managed to get the coil pack, exhaust bits and road speed sensor for £40 so quite pleased with that. We now have a spark but currently have no fuel getting through. I suspect that the lift pump has been disconnected from power somewhere during the mod. Just trying to find where in the loom I need to reconnect the power for this. I have concerns about whether this is going to be man enough to supply the hp pump (from a 3.0 senator!) or whether to try to remove the lift pump altogether. It is top mounted and I don't really want to drop the fuel tank if I can avoid it.
