Has anybody carried out the modification mentioned on one of the Fiesta tuning websites (zetecinside?)
I was tempted to bin the joint and use a group4 escort steering joint that I happened to have lying around, but the Fiesta mod looked more straightforward. The latter part of the mod involves using rubber bobbin mounts under the gear lever to reduce the noise transmitted through the new linkage mech. Is this necessary, or is it just due to the quickshift which he also fitted? PS. If anybody is considering the mod, ebay has the same bearings for a fraction of the price at RS.
