Hi Jim,

I think your last comment has got it.  The loose gaiter flopped around being 
more out of balance but both gaiters secure they still move more each rotation 
compared to the other side.  You cannot see any bend in the shaft at low revs 
so I will go with the joint(s) on that side.  

In the meantime I have just managed to balance the vibration out with a bit of 
science and a bit of luck.  Totally gone now.  And that is with the weight 
attached at the inboard end of the shaft.  So supporting the idea it's not the 
hub or wheel.  I think it's time for a new driveshaft.  Last one I did was a 
few years ago but I recall it was not a bad job, just heavy.  Just a case of 
finding a replacement.  But that will come later.  The Coupe is going to be 
Eddie-ized at the weekend.  Hopefully it will be Super-Coupe in a months time!  
Onwards and upwards for the quality of the car. (and the bills)
