Hi All
it is most definitely the coil pack conector. I've managed to strip it
somewhat(ARGHH!!) and found that the black earth lead was broken at the
crimp connector. I've soldered it up and rebuilt it, although I would like
to get a complete one with leads a least 6 inch (15 cm?) long as the
breakdown and rebuild haven't done it much good. I'm reluctant to buy the
plug kit as I'd prefer a fully assembled one I could connect back onto by
already solder connected loom, and I'm a little ham fisted with small parts
now my eyesight is waning. The plug kit on Ebay sounds correct (Thanks) ,
but no picture to confirm?
I'm surprised at how unsophisticated the coil pack is - all this talk of
solid state, and then I realise it's basically 2 coils that fire both plugs
in pairs, and get it right 50% of the time, and there was me thinking there
was clever data going down the wires, not just a simple on/off to fire the
coils

Cheers
Steve
