The ones with one touch operation just have a circuit that monitors the
current the motor is taking, when it sees a sudden increase in current it knows
the window has hit the top or bottom stops and cuts off the power.
It uses the same circuit to detect if there is an obstruction.
Still no limit switches.

No, there are no limit switches.
To be honest i’ve never come across a car with electric windows that does
use limit switches.
They all rely on a mechanical stop and sometimes a thermal fuse to cover
somebody holding there finger on the switch.

There must be limit switches in the circuit to stop the window either
going too far up or down. If the upper limit switch is sticking it would
prevent the window raising.
