I know this one......
The bit of plastic that grips onto the cable has given up.
The window goes down because of gravity.
The only solution I found was to replace the whole unit......I think it was
about £ 300 from Ford !

Now my drivers window won't go up nor down. The passenger side is fine.
I pulled up the switches and fiddled with the wires but no good, any ideas?
