I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago, the motor ran ok but didn't drive the window. Whatever connects the drive cable to the glasses frame had failed, luckily in the shed I had a spare unit, fitted this and now ok again. I don't really know if there is a fix, possibly crimping something to the cable may fix it.
