Hi, The jaws hot key to read the status line is insert plus numpad 3. I find this works in the track view. Not sure if it works in the editor in question.

QWS uses a standard status bar control as provided by the Common Controls library, so there's nothing extraordinary or strange about it. However, I can tell you that the ALT arrow for next and previous notes stop only at notes. They do not stop because there is a new bar. Likewise, they report notes, not individual note on and note off messages - otherwise you would get twice as many notes as there actually are. So, for example, if you had a track with three notes on it: C, E, G. One moment: you are right that with most synths there is a way to capture the patch data, which includes the patch names. However, this is not really much good to writing an instrument list. This is because, although you will get the patch names, you do not get the program and bank numbers needed to select the patch. Your best way to get a patch list is to look in the back of the manual, or to try searching on the web. Most manuals these days are available in electronic format. Hope this helps. James.
