I do the ssame thing actually. It's slower possibly, but quicker for me to
listen to each value than it is to wait around for the status bar and have
to hear it two and three times sometimes.
I get stuff done though. at least I tell myself that, anyway.

Yes, I can see that (ha ha). What I tend to do is if I want a particular
piece of info and if I can't catch it by reading the whole status bar is
to press the initial letter of the field (as if you were going to edit)
and then press ENTER to call up the normal edit dialog, then press
ESCAPE once you've heard what you want. Just don't press ESCAPE twice
as it will take you out of the editor.
How's that for a dirty work-around?
Of course, those with some scripting knowhow could write dozens of JAWS
macros to read each individual field, that would be possible as well.
