Fellow Railsians and Radiant peoples; We are essentially performing a CMS bake off. Marketing wants WordPress cause they¹ve used it, like the SEO plugins, etc., perceive it will give them short time to market, and easy and fast extensibility. Engineering is a Rails shop, has many servers in production, sees how this will involve many more and wants one tool chain, to leverage the development skill we already have, have a platform we can manage and other et cetera while we also believe that there ain¹t nothin¹ WP can do that we can¹t also do (in about as much time).
Therefore, I am requesting a moment of your time, if you can spare it, to help inform me about how stable you have found Radiant and where you felt some of your more significant challenges in adopting Radiant were. Have you used other CMS¹s? Where did they fall short, or where did they have features that you miss? I understand that this is a potentially a very charged and large area, but my goal is to obtain first hand information with which to build a body of evidence. Going to the expert folks who use it and understand it seems to be the best way to obtain quality information. Therefore, I thank you for your consideration and if you can spare a moment to respond, I will be most appreciative. Yours, Peter _______________________________________________ Radiant mailing list Post: [email protected] Search: http://radiantcms.org/mailing-list/search/ Site: http://lists.radiantcms.org/mailman/listinfo/radiant
