I don't think you mean to, but it seems here like you're conflating the sync feature with the more specific issue of sync'ing relative volume levels of sync'd players. I think a lot of people use sync, but only a subset of that group feel the need for the feature you seek. I have no idea how big that subset is. My guess is it's a minority of those who use sync, but that's just a guess. I regularly sync my players, but I *prefer* to control each player's volume separately. You have different preferences and that's fine. But don't assume that because other people aren't enthusiastic about this feature that they're not using sync.
