Hi garym; Thanks for the reply. I am implementing your suggestions. The crossfade thing was already set to none. I don't have "LAME" installed (yet?) so the 'bitrate limiting' parameter is greyed out. Before I get into how little I know about LMS & Squeezebox let me tell you about my .flac music library, because that may be a large part of why I'm having problems getting things working smoothly. All my .flac records contain no "ALBUM" information. They all have "ALBUM ARTIST" information. All artist/group names are in alphabetical order on a single RAID 1 storage volume with directories 0 through 9 and A through Z. For example under the 'B' directory my one "Beatles" album contains 128 entries. Each .flac file represents a single. In fact most of them are 'digitized' from the actual 45RPM vinyl record. It's my version of the worlds biggest jukebox. So where can I go and read up on how to play just 1 track or pick several tracks from several different artist and play them in the order they were picked? Is there a default playlist that get's used to queue up tracks to be played? Can the list be edited once the player is accessing it? I can't seem to get my head around how playlist work in LMS so I think some careful reading and understanding on my part is needed. Thank you or anyone else that can point me in the right direction.
