good advice for making playlists within the LMS webGUI. Once you're
happy with the basics described above, you might want to add the plugin
(LMS > SETTINGS > Plugins, tick the "show all 3rd party plugins" and
then tick "Playlist Manager (v6.0)" by Phillip Meyer. This will give you
a few more playlist creation options (when you are playing a song you
can press and hold and a menu pops up about adding to an existing named
playlist, new playlist, etc.

With your CONTROLLER, locate an album or a song. Press and hold the
center button and you'll get a popup menu. You can use this to play
next, add to end of current playlist, or play immediately. And with
playlist manager installed, you get "Add to..." and if you select that,
you get a new menu for add to current playlist or other previously saved
playlists or a new playlist which you can name. 

You can also create playlists with many other programs (foobar2000,
etc.) and save them as *.m3u files. Then copy these m3u files into the
Playlist folder location you've assigned in the LMS > SETTINGS > Basic
Settings tab.
