Every senior commander knows (or should know) that they have to charter yearly. If you don't get the form in the mail from the church office - FIND IT! Call the district office or the national office. You could probably een find the form online somewhere. It's might convenient to say I never got the form but it's not the church office's responsibility!A matter of opinion stated as if it were fact. You assume too much responsibility for yourself, for it is neither your right nor your privilege to say whose responsibility is whose in this matter, since every church is sovreign, and makes those determinations independently, without consulting you. I do, however, in part agree with you. BUT...should we take into consideration the "novice" (for lack of a better word) Sr. Commander who is not in the know? If his mail is getting trashed, he will never be in the know. Isn't it concievable, that there are some who never get a district newsletter, high adventure, etc.? And, due to lack of knowledge, commitment, or whatever, they will stay that way, not necessarily through any fault of thier own. Not all people are built the same. Some do not have the capability or wherewithall to possess a level of commitment that others do. God did not make them that way. You can't hold them responsible. Nor can you hold anyone responsible for another's actions, such as trashing mail.
