*With all due respect to a good idea..
I am firmly opposed to "paying" or "prizeing" a boys achievements. It just does not make good ethical sence. The advancement is for him to achieve, and his failure is also a worthy point for him to consider. *Both are teachible moments for us to use as Leaders.. Perhaps if you invited all who achived one rank or merit to attend a event, paintball game ect. that might be better, But I still feel the advancement must be pure and clean of any "motovational bribe". It isn't needed. In the past- I'm guilty myself of "gifting" a pocketknife to every Ranger who succeeded in my cut and chop class. *Shorty.. visitors would come and hand me the test sheet and.. *Demand a pocketknife.. from me. Q? "what was my intention for gifting the boys in the first place?" A! I never intended to "owe" a boy a knife, and resented the shift away from tool safety to the "gift". All that.. and you are free to do what you think best. *I'm sure the $100 winner will be blessed. -=A=- --- Spirit Rider <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > All, > Tonight in Rangers I'm going to lay out something > for the Pioneers.
