In a sense we do bribe them or pay them a reward-the metal or ribbon. I know
what you're saying about the obligation-Diane. It does smack of give-me
selfishness.
There is a point in which the boy learns to achieve just to be able to prove
it to himself that he could do it and have earned some self-respect in doing
it.
God help us if we all only do something expecting to get something in
return. That is lack of responsibility I believe. Responsibility is a an
honor that God places on those who are dilligent in the little things.
A servants heart is something to strive for also.
Bob Simons

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future. Jer. 29:11
