It sounds to me like you are describing the gift of prophesy, which is just
speaking a word directly from God in a language you know -- kind of like
interpretation after toungues, but without the tongues. There is no need to
wait for the tongues in that case, of course. It could also have been a
word of knowledge. Whatever it was, if you tested it against the Holy Bible
and recognized God's voice, you did well to speak it out in an orderly manner.

Please study what the Bible says about this in 1 Corinthians 12-14 (yes,
all three chapters are important and relevant) with your husband. It is
important to be in agreement and submission to one another.

This is right on topic for RangerNet, by the way. It is about one of the
