I encourage everyone to attend their Regional Training Seminar to get
updates on the changes coming in Royal Rangers. I know that either Rich
Mariott or Paul Stanek have already presented information on the changes in
2 or 3 of the regional seminars, and I suspect that they will be at the
rest of them. I know that Rich is the featured speaker at the South Central
Regional Training Seminar in San Antonio, Texas on January 28-29, 2000
(http://www.royalrangers.net/scr). He will have 90 minutes Saturday morning
to present the changes and respond to questions, and then other times
during the day are being scheduled for smaller groups to interact with him.
Thus, an effort is being made to get the information out to everyone as
quickly as is prudent. It may seem that the information flow is slow, but
notice that the new national B/SA coordinator did not start until November
1, and the national RR Executive Committee did not meet to approve some of
the changes until after that date. Thus, any changes that have been
approved have only been approved in the past two weeks.
Attend your district commanders conference and regional training seminar,
and make sure you are chartered so that you receive the High Adventure
Leader and Online newsletter from the national office, etc. so that you can
receive the information on the changes as soon as it comes out.
