Dear Rangernetters:
My first reaction to this form is a hostile one. I have already made a commitment like this in my heart and I also have trouble doing it all. Some may think I am not as committed to my Christian walk because my schedule is not crowded with doing things for Jesus or in his name. I beleive that I can be a better witness for Christ by being unhurried and content with what I have because of Him.
Many times I think we need something like this in our Outpost because every year we start out with a full compliment of commanders or at least enough to cover every age group and at the end of the year we wind up with the same remaining few and one or two of them are barely hanging on. By may our boys have become involved in Little League sports and Wednesday night always seems to be the coaches favorite time for practice.
If my commander pulled something like this on me I would leave very fast. While my heart is committed toward excellence I do not take well to legalism. Motorola pulled the same type of thing regarding quality and productivity. I wound up telling them what to do with their job. I try to give my employer the best service I am able to give. I thry to give 110% but when they demand 110% or better it is a different thing.
I would like to show this form to some of the commanders and former commanders in my outpost just for the idea of this.
White Buffalo isn't this what you meant? I could hardly beleive a man of Christ would be serious about such a thing.

I signed this in my heart when God called me to this ministry.  I also
attended  Meetings that were for the other age groups so that I would
have a clue.  I became a Training Chief so I could help develop
leaders as well.  The eternal destiny of the boys are in our hands for
a few precious hours a week.  I cannot do less than my best, I will
answer to God for the way I walk out my calling.

I will be using this form to make a point at my next commanders
meeting I think.  It aught to get the point across.
