*(Big Grin)

I'm right- there should<G> *That's what the HQ figgers!<G>

*And! Ranger Commanders are a LOYAL CREW!

Very few pew sitters would ever walk in my air conditioned, sound proof and
plush carpeted classroom on wed. night, But of those that did.. they didn't know

what ranger adult leaders were doing.. they didn't know we had merits for
christian service and hide tanning... they didn't know we studied stars, made
pinewood cars and tied knots and ...camped!

*See.. they didn't know WHAT ROYAL RANGERS WAS... But found a way
to demand changes! Listen REAL close to the presentation and you'll see that
the changes are built to be understandable to the greater church... *Pastors-
Pew sitters and Sunday School teachers! *your point is- you think the
program isn't broke!

The fact is that..RANGER COMMANDERS ALLWAYS KNEW THERE
WAS MORE TO IT THAN CAMPING. *That just didn't "get out"...

The re-write is designed to show these "outsiders" how serious we are
about *Reaching-*Teaching-and *Keeping BOYS FOR CHRIST!

I figure, it's a poor critter that can ignore Boys who work togather, plan
events and build fellowship strong as family. *Use the boys! *Teach Leadership!

I was "under" a member of "Pastoral Staff" who professed to be a
Royal Ranger backer and we had a long talk... He wanted to shut
down, and began a long list of complaints about the program, the materials
the boys, their parents, the pew sitters, and the church building. This
"Turkey" wanted to call RR "space rangers" and write out camping!

I had a serious "talk with God" and discovered the problem wasn't
any of those things, but rather it was LEADERSHIP. ..and *I was
part of the problem!

"Pastor " was complaining of poor "morale" and lack of believability
by the boys in what he was doing... like handing a boy the handbook and saying
to him "earn the GMA" but never giveing him a reason!

"Behind all technical methods of leadership, there is always one implicit
purpose,
that of developing MORALE. For HIGH MORALE is the index of
effective leadership!

HIGH MORALE is the "emotional force" that gives drive to group action!"

Cdr.Kelvin-

When your boys 'want to come to Rangers- there begins a force that draws them
to achieve, compete and implement Leadership and Membership in the Outpost..

The "New-Improved" program is a new chance.. and fresh wind.. a new trail
a broad adventure to explore! It's a chance to raise the Morale!

Let's get with- the new program!
