You don't teach or preach commitment.. you *Challenge and use leadership
to raise the Morale..and that breeds the drive for group action. When we
do that we "join a cause" and our hearts will seal the bond...

*I say we should live the CODE..
Boys learn from the example set by their adult leaders, and it is the
association with adults of high moral character that speeds a young mans
development.
Many pewsitters and Dads feel the defilement of their past precludes their active
involvement
in leadership. We need to forgive and forget and get our eyes on the prize. Good
character
is not just a trait of Godly men...

We need to avoid the trap that comes from setting ourselves as the example, when
we must live day by day in grace. Teach the boys virtue and we will do right by
them and
their offspring. Boys did right and got saved before Royal Rangers.. we just
need to
remember the mission and keep the main thing the main thing.

That would be good if that is what we do.. we need to additionaly encourage
them to reach out and do the same for each other, and back the boy leaders!
We "bring the light" and then share it... we do not Lord over the light or
discourage Sr.Guide....
Remember that we want the boys to advance.. to lead and to succeed in life,
and I'm not going to be there for them every step... *So what I do is point
to the trail and let them walk it out. I *Follow behind!

Wrong- the boys have- HAVE TO DO IT ON THIER OWN!
I have to..you have to... Jesus had to... we all have to do it on our own!
You gottah walk that lonely valley!

What do they need Commander for if they have the plan and the motivation to
make the Ranger meeting a special time and group for them and by them?
*I'm not buying this "commitment" thing.. We are a team like a chain and
many hands makes the load light... when each one does his small part the load
is easy and the burden is light...
