A contractor that I often work with here in Chicago does this for a mutual 
client.  The client gets emails in Outlook.  His programmers parse information 
out of the subject and body of the email.  They also take an attached PDF file 
of invoice data and parse out information from the PDF and store in an RBase 
table.   Don't know how it works, but it runs a scheduled task twice a day to 
find new emails and generate data.

rbase but would like to add the ability to send/receive emails within the 
ticket system.  Right now they copy and paste in/out of outlook to the support 
tickets.    I know I can use Rmail to send the emails but need to find a way to 
have it automatically receive emails and add them to the ticket. Similar to 
other ticketing solutions.    I noticed the other ticket systems put the ticket 
number in the subject so I can parse the email and know which ticket to add to 
when it is received.    Has anyone done something similar?    TIA    Dan
