Steve

Just to clarify, are you connecting at at least DSL speed on both ends of your
connections? ie... Are both ISP locations at least DSL speed? This could be
your hang up.

Do you have a static IP on both ends (Both ISP's)? If so then I would
reccommend connecting a VPN router at both ends. We are doing this
and it works well. We use RealVNC (free) to connect to other machines.
It's more secure because of the VPN connections and we can run RBase
DOS -- in a window -- not FULL screen is the only drawbac, but it
runs fine.
Actually at this time we have a static IP in only our main company that
has a partial T1 connection and the other company is a DSL connection.
We are using Linksys befvp41 VPN routers.

Hope this helps

Ok, here goes.

We are currently using reachout on Windows 95 machines and remotely connecting to them and running 6.5++ with acceptable performance but, as we switch to 2000 and XP we can not use this program. In addition to this it is no longer on the market. Switched to PC anywhere and this runs slower on a dial up but can work.

Here is the real problem. We are trying to reduce costs and use the bandwidth of our T1's. Currently am trying to connect at the network level over a 100 mb cards (using TCP/IP connections) and everything works fine until we open an Rbase session and then every thing freezes after the applications initial start up. Screen refresh just crawls.

Please note we are using the most current Rbase for DOS and the most current PCanywhere version.

Any ideas?
