Sorry to add I am lost here I cant figure anything else to add or try or
investigate, however I am conviced when you find the solution you will
say ! Was it that simple!
My only excuse for not being able to help is : at least I tried

On your computer do Start | Run | CMD and hit enter. 
Now, you have a command prompt screen.

I can print any file to my locally connected printer
now by using the command COPY Filename LPT1:.  I can't
use ZIP, because that is an R:Base command, and R:Base
is not open anywhere on the computer.

The problem is for this particular computer, starting
this week, that command does NOT print the file.
