You are correct, we had it set to disconnect and not to reset. I assumed it
would be safer for RBase if I allowed time for them to reconnect to an
active session, but RBase has performed so well, with no db corruption. I'm
going to try running with it set to "Reset" and see if it eliminate this
very rare problem.
It will probably fix the only other Citrix problem I have also. (Another
very rare problem). Occasionally a shortcut stops loading RBase 7.1 or 6.5,
even though dozens of other users are running fine. I added an extra copy
of my runtimes in another directory with a shortcut pointing to the 2nd copy
and with this work around it gets them through the day with out having me
ask users to log out of Citrix. When everyone closes out for the day, the
problem goes away.
When this happens RBase starts to load but shuts down without any error
message. I haven't figured out why yet, because the work around works so
well. My best guess is Windows can't find a file it needs, even though it
is there.

The long period of inactivity issue can happen when a user has a broken
connection, and Citrix is not set to automatically reset broken
connections after a timeout. Broken connections are usually network
transport problems.
The only remaining problem is about once a month a branch office will stop
printing ( a print job is hung up)and we need to clear all users from
Citrix, and restart the print spool process on the Citrix server in order
for their print jobs to start up again. I believe it is users not loging
out correctly from Citrix that causes this problem, because there is
always a session with a long period of inactivity when this happens.
